Genpact seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Tester to join our team. The QA Tester will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by thoroughly testing and identifying defects, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for quality, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Qualification : Bachelor’s degree

Experience : Freshers/experienced

Skill Set :

1. Proficiency in using testing tools and frameworks.
2. Expertise in software quality assurance and testing, including manual and automated testing.
3. Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
4. Knowledge of test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify and document defects effectively.
7. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
8. ISTQB or other relevant certifications is a plus.
9. Experience with test automation tools and scripting languages is a plus.
10. This position may require occasional overtime and weekend work to meet project deadlines.
11. The QA Tester may need to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Job Description :

1. Test Planning and Strategy:
   1. Collaborate with QA Manager and development teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
   2. Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies based on project specifications.
   3. Prioritize test cases and define test coverage to ensure critical areas are thoroughly tested.
2. Test Execution:
   1. Execute test cases, both manually and, when applicable, through automated testing tools.
   2. Identify, document, and report defects and issues in a clear and organized manner.
   3. Verify bug fixes and ensure they meet the defined acceptance criteria.
3. Regression Testing:
   1. Conduct regression testing to ensure that new features and changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
   2. Maintain and update regression test suites.
4. Documentation:
   1. Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
   2. Document testing processes and results to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
5. Automation:
   1. Collaborate with the automation team to identify opportunities for test automation.
   2. Participate in the development of automated test scripts and maintain automated test suites.
6. Continuous Improvement:
   1. Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements to enhance overall product quality.
   2. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in QA and testing methodologies.
