Roles & Responsibilities
1. Inspection & Quality Verification
Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections
Verify mechanical parts and bought-out items as per drawings and specifications
2. Machine Trials & FAT Support
Assist during machine assembly, trials, and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
Ensure machines function correctly before dispatch
3. Use of Measuring Instruments
Operate precision instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and plug gauges
Validate dimensional accuracy of components
4. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare inspection reports, checklists, and quality records
Maintain accurate documentation for traceability and process improvement
5. Rework & Coordination
Coordinate with production and quality teams for rejection handling and rework management
Ensure non-conforming parts do not reach final assembly
6. Workplace Standards & Audits
Support 5S initiatives and basic quality systems
Assist during internal and customer audits
Required Technical Skills
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
Hands-on knowledge of measuring instruments
Basic understanding of inspection and defect identification
Strong foundation in mechanical components and assemblies
Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word for reporting
Qualification & Experience
Education: Diploma / BE / ME in Mechanical Engineering
Experience: 0–2 years (freshers with internships or academic projects are welcome)
Preferred: Exposure to quality, production, or testing in automation/SPM industries
