You would be responsible for building SaaS compatible PLM solution. You will work closely with the team and collaborate with other stakeholders for delivering high quality software. In this role you would also lead design decisions and guide junior members in the team on design and implementation of solutions.

Team is currently working on building SaaS compatible PLM solutions and we are looking for additional member to contribute to this exciting journey of helping customers move from on prem to cloud based PLM solution. Your prior SaaS experience will be impactful in driving design decisions in the team.

PTC’s PLM solution Windchill is an industry leading PLM software. With easy, secure data access for multi-disciplinary and geographically-distributed teams, quality-focused processes, and a data driven approach to manufacturing, Windchill is elevating how product development gets done. PTC’s has taken leadership position in providing solutions for the industry in SaaS and on Prem.
Windchill R&D team that you will be part of, is currently working on enhancing the Windchill product to make it easier for frequent development and deployments on cloud. The team is full of innovative and highly committed individuals who are helping PTC accelerate it’s journey with solutions on cloud as well as on prem. The team works collaboratively across multiple stakeholders to design the best architecture for efficient Windchill development for SaaS.
Your Day-to-Day
What are some of the things this person will be responsible for on a day-to-day basis?
Job Responsibilities include:-
- Develop iterative prototypes when appropriate
- Prepare design note(s) per group standards based on an approved set of requirements.
- Schedule, conduct and participate in design reviews
-Interactions with other development groups, QA, Product Management, Technical Support
- Prepare work estimates for assigned project and tasks
- Completes all work according to schedule requirements
- Write well documented performing code including source code documentation that meets organizational standards.
- Develop iterative prototypes when appropriate
- Run unit tests and deliver automated tests for inclusion in a regression test bed when appropriate
- Resolution of software defects (all aspects from evaluation, fixing, workarounds, unit testing) as per organization guidelines.
- Help colleagues decompose complex problems into a set of simpler ones and help evaluate design alternatives.
- Regularly demo the work to the stakeholders
-Participate in various scrum meetings
- Provide timely and complete information to facilitate formal testing ·
- Share technical information with the team and to a wider audience when appropriate
- Acquire knowledge necessary to perform job assignments (technology, product and process).
Keep current with appropriate technologies.
- To perform the functions of the job as per instruction and pre-established guidelines.
Must-Have Skills (3-5 bullet points)
What are the things that cannot be taught or learned within the first 6-12 months of starting their job?
- 4+ years of Core and advanced Java
- Take design decisions suitable for cloud
- Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Hands on experience to any Database,, Restful services, Angular
- Experience in at least one cloud platform
- Well versed with Enterprise Application Architecture
- Ability to guide/mentor team technical
Good to have knowledge of:
PLM product Worked in SAFe Agile framework
